Auspicious Wisdom: The Texts and Traditions of Śrīvīdyā Śākta Tantrism in South India

Rooting itself in Kashmir Shaivism, Srividya became a force in South India no later than the seventh century, and eventually supplanted the Trika as the dominant Tantric tradition in Kashmir.
